The Avolites Stage Visualiser simulation programme combines software
and hardware, allowing lighting designers and programmers the
opportunity to pre-programme the lighting rig without having direct
access to the instruments, the rig or the venue - in effect, a
virtual production rehearsal.
A particular feature of the Visualiser is that is can be used
on a Laptop computer using a special cable. When used in this
way the Visualiser extends the capabilities of the console by
showing selected fixtures and allowing previewing of memories.
The hardware comprises a 1,024 channel DMX reader card for fitting
into a desktop PC and a special cable which connects to the serial
port on a laptop PC and the MIDI port on an Avolites console,
and the software simulates and displays intelligent fixtures on
your PC.
Visualiser offers all the benefits of remote programming such
as time efficiency, space and cost reduction plus advance preparation
for shows - particularly useful for shared console situations
such as festivals, multi-purpose venues and concert halls.
Visualiser also includes full DMX monitor and testing facilities.
The Avolites Visualiser realises its true potential as a training
aid and also for demonstrating design concepts to clients with
minimal time or financial outlay.
The Visualiser has an export and import function which is used
to patch Avolites Consoles and train them for follow spot tracking.
The report also contains the X,Y,Z co-ordinates and orientation
of every fixture and object within the Visualiser, giving the
possibility of importing this into third party software. The Import
function give the possibility of editing the patch in a Spreadsheet
form, as well as importing information form other third party
software.
The Avolites Visualiser has been designed to save onsite programming
time thus reducing production costs.
